Dr. Ed Siegel Sing Our National Anthem Star Spangeld Banner in the key of G Major

"We may be the only nation in the world whose citizens in general can't sing their own national anthem. By simply lowering its key, the vast majority of us can sing "The Star Spangled Banner" with both pride and exhilaration . "

Video Notes:
1) President Woodrow Wilson asked to military to use the "Star Spangled Banner" as the National Anthem in 1916, not 1918. In 1918, it became traditional to play it before every baseball game.
2) The official military key was designated as B-flat (higher), rather than A-flat.
3) On June 15, 2004, the Solana Beach City Council voted unanimously to pass a resolution asking the Federal Government to make G-major the official key for our National Anthem when audiences are asked to sing it.
